Accessibility Statement

Last updated: November 4, 2026

This accessibility statement covers learnarchitecture.net. Learn Architecture Online wants its articles, hub pages and free architecture tools to work for as many readers as possible, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation or browser zoom. Below you can read what we work on, where we still fall short, and how to tell us about a problem.

Standards we aim for

We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. This is our target, not a claim of full conformance. With more than a thousand articles on the site, accessibility is ongoing work rather than a one-time project.

What we work on

  • Descriptive alternative text on editorial images, diagrams and drawings
  • A logical heading structure in articles, so screen reader users can move between sections
  • Readable text sizes and color contrast in our reading layout
  • Menus, search and article content that can be reached with a keyboard
  • Pages that still work when you zoom the browser to 200%

Known limitations

  • Some older articles may have missing or short image descriptions. We fix the most-read pages first.
  • Our free architecture tools draw charts and diagrams, such as sun path diagrams and wind roses, that a screen reader may not fully describe. Where a tool offers a CSV or data export, that file can be a more usable alternative to the chart.
  • Embedded third-party content, such as social media posts and videos, and advertising served by external partners may not meet the standards above.
  • Our marketplace at learnarchitecture.online runs on a separate platform and is not covered by this statement.

Feedback

If something on learnarchitecture.net is hard to read, reach or use, please tell us. Email [email protected] or use the form on our Contact page. Include the page address and a short description of the problem, and if you can, the device, browser and assistive technology you were using. We read every report and use them to decide what to fix first.
