The ninth edition of the Architecture Drawing Prize is now accepting submissions, with organisers setting a deadline of September 11, 2026 at 11:30 PM. The competition is run jointly by World Architecture Festival, Make Architects and Sir John Soane’s Museum, with sponsorship from Iris Ceramica Group.
The prize is open worldwide to architects, designers and students, and imposes few restrictions on the type of work submitted. According to organisers, the contest accepts “drawings of any type or form, from conceptual sketches to technical and construction drawings, cutaways and perspective views, whether relating to built, unbuilt or purely speculative projects.”
Rather than splitting entries into separate categories, judges will assess all submissions together. Organisers note that the format allows for “multiple winners and a special prize for hand drawing,” rather than a single top prize.
Standard entry costs £149 plus VAT, though students and entrants under 30 qualify for a 50% reduction in the fee.
What happens next
A shortlist of selected drawings will go on public display at the World Architecture Festival in Fort Lauderdale this November. The final results follow two months later, when winners are revealed at an exhibition opening at Sir John Soane’s Museum in London in January 2027.
